Matthew 27:45-46
New King James Version (NKJV)
45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
- sixth hour – ninth hour
- 12 PM to 3 PM
- Earth filled with darkness
Two Evenings
- Every one knows there is one evening in a day ( around 6 PM )
- Other evening was there in the day when Jesus was crucified on the cross ( Matthew 27:45-46, above)

- Jesus cried out between sixth hour and ninth hour ( 12 PM to 3 PM )
- Psalm 22:2 says, daytime and night ( Jesus cried between 12PM to 3PM which is a midday ), and how come night and day, both mentioned?
- because darkness covered the earth between 12PM and 3PM and hence night
- Psalm 22:3 Jesus said “You are holy”, because at that time Jesus was carrying our sins ( God is too holy to look at sin )
Jesus was the fulfillment of the Passover lamp
