20 My son, attend to my words.

22 For they are life to those who find them,
    and health to their whole body.

Matthew 13:14-16

14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says,

‘By hearing you will hear,
    and will in no way understand;
Seeing you will see,
    and will in no way perceive:
15 for this people’s heart has grown callous,
    their ears are dull of hearing,
    they have closed their eyes;
or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes,
    hear with their ears,
    understand with their heart,
and would turn again;
    and I would heal them.’

16 “But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

Luke 5:15

Jesus Cleansing a Leper

Matthew 8:1-4
New King James Version (NKJV)

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

Leper CAME to Jesus

SOME THING MADE HIM TO COME

  • great multitudes followed Him  : means Jesus is walking in the opposite direction
  • Previous chapter Jesus was Preaching in the Mountain to the People, so He had to come down
  • The Mountain has good sound acoustics, so the sound even reaches people who stand way down
  • THATS HOW, the Leper would have heard what Jesus was Preaching, that’s how he came to Jesus with boldness ( Legally as per Law, a Leper is not allowed to come near anyone, if so, the Leper will be stoned to death ), so obviously the Leper heard what Jesus Preached which is not of the Law

Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
