27 大卫到了玛哈念以后，亚扪的拉巴人拿辖的儿子朔比、罗底巴人亚米利的儿子玛吉、基列的罗基琳人巴西莱送来被褥、锅碗和各种炊具，还送来了小麦、大麦、面粉、烤好的谷子、豆类、蜂蜜、奶油、绵羊和牛奶酪，供大卫和他的部下食用。他们说∶“人们在旷野里一定又饥又渴，疲惫不堪了。”
