🌿 Faith, Hope, and Love — the Greatest Is Love

Romans stacks three pillars: faith, hope, and love — and love is greatest. Just knowing the love of God transforms you; grace and peace multiply through the knowledge of Jesus Christ (shalom = fullness). Sit, listen, hear again and again — faith comes by hearing, not once. 📖

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)

God blesses beyond what you ask — even beyond what you think. Low faith says “maybe half.” Raise your hope: your dream reveals how big you think your Father is. 🙌

4️⃣ Benefits of Knowing the Love of God

  1. 🌟 Hope shall not disappoint — biblical hope (elpis) = 100% confident expectation of good. Faith without hope has no substance (Hebrews 11:1).
  2. 📈 Exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond — according to His riches, not your ceiling.
  3. 🤗 Intimacy with God — like John leaning on Jesus’ bosom; Peter asked John to ask Jesus because John knew His heartbeat.
  4. 🌍 Not worldly — worldliness comes when the love of the Father is absent (1 John 2:15).

⚔️ Love of God vs Love for God

Love of GodLove for God
How much He loves youHow much you love Him
John — rested, “disciple whom Jesus loved”Peter — “I will die for You” (agape)
Transforms life ✅Peter denied three times ❌

At John 21, Jesus asked Peter agape — Peter answered phileo. Jesus lowered to Peter’s level: “Do you at least phileo Me?” Your love cannot equal His; receive His. Humility = allowing Him to love and bless you. 💛

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”Romans 5:19 (NKJV)

“Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified…”Romans 3:20 (NKJV) — no one keeps the law perfectly; you are saved by His love, not yours.

1 John 4:10 (NKJV)

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Romans 3:10 (NKJV)

As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;

Romans 3:20 (NKJV)

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law;

🎯 The Takeaway

Know the love of God poured into your heart — not strive in love for God. Four fruits: undying hope, abundant blessing, intimacy, and freedom from the world. Write on your heart: I am the one Jesus loves. 🙌
