Covenant in Bible means?

  • Covenant is same like an agreement, which we use recent times.
  • Covenant looks something like this

10 Commandments

  • You shall have no other gods before Me.
  • You shall not make idols.
  • You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
  • Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  • Honor your father and your mother.
  • You shall not murder.
  • You shall not commit adultery.
  • You shall not steal.
  • You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  • You shall not covet.

If I fail in anyone of these, I shall die.

  • In Hebrew, Sin Means : Missing the Mark
  • Missing any of the above 10 Marks means : you sin : makes you sinner

Will your sins be forgiven by confessing your sins?

No!!

  • It says, whosoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
  • It doesn’t say that it will make them holy/righteous
  • It doesn’t say that it will forgive all their confessed sins.
