29 నన్ను ద్వేషించిన వాడికి కలిగిన నాశనాన్ని బట్టి నేను సంతోషించినట్టయితే, అతనికి కీడు కలగడం చూసి నన్ను నేను అభినందించుకున్నట్టయితే,

"If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him;

If I rejoice at the ruin of my hater, And stirred up myself when evil found him,

12 సౌలూ, యోనాతానూ యెహోవా ప్రజలూ ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశీకులూ యుద్ధంలో చనిపోయారని వారిని గూర్చి దుఃఖపడుతూ, ప్రలాపిస్తూ సాయంత్రం వరకూ ఉపవాసం ఉన్నారు.

10 “మంచి కబురు తెస్తున్నానని భావించి ఒకడు వచ్చి సౌలు చనిపోయాడని తెలియజేశాడు.

5 రాజైన దావీదు బహూరీము దగ్గర కు వచ్చినప్పుడు సౌలు కుటుంబానికి చెందిన గెరా కుమారుడు షిమీ అనేవాడు అక్కడికి వచ్చాడు.

13 అయితే వాళ్ళు వ్యాధితో ఉన్నప్పుడు నేను గోనె గుడ్డ ధరించాను. నా తల వాల్చి వాళ్ళ కోసం ఉపవాసం ఉన్నాను.

25 వాళ్ళు తమ మనస్సుల్లో ఆహా, మేము కోరుకున్నట్టే జరిగింది అని చెప్పే అవకాశం ఇవ్వకు. మేము వాణ్ణి మింగేశాం, అని చెప్పనివ్వకు.

5 పేదలను వెక్కిరించేవాడు వారి సృష్టికర్తను నిందిస్తున్నాడు. ఆపద కలగడం చూసి సంతోషించేవాడికి శిక్ష తప్పదు.

17 నీ శత్రువు పడిపొతే సంతోషించవద్దు. వాడు తూలిపడినప్పుడు నీవు మనస్సులో అనందించవద్దు.

12 నీ సోదరుని దినాన, అతని దురవస్థ దినాన నువ్వు ఆనందించవద్దు. యూదావారి నాశన దినాన వారి స్థితి చూసి సంతోషించ వద్దు. వారి ఆపద్దినాలో అతిశయించ వద్దు.
