7 يِ شّمّ سُولِيٍ نَشَ سِفَ، عٍ سٌ لَيِسَ. عٍ نَشَ عَ تٌ، مّننِكَيٍ سَبَتِشِ بْحّسَ كُي، عَلْ سِدْنكَيٍ دَرِشِ عَ رَ كِ نَشّ. سِ فبّتّ يٌ مُ نُ نَ نَشَن عٍ تْورْ مَ، شَ نَ مُ عَ رَ عٍ يَمَرِ مَ. عٍ نُ بَرَ مَكُيَ سِدْنكَيٍ رَ، عٍ مُ لَنيِ يٌ شِرِ عٍ نُن بْنسْي فبّتّ تَفِ.

Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.
