1 ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਰਾਣੀ ਅਸਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਸਤਰ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਸੀ ।
