2 ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ତିନି ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ; ତାଙ୍କର ମାତାଙ୍କ ନାମ ମୀଖାୟା, ସେ ଗିବୀୟା ନିବାସୀ ଊରୀୟେଲର କନ୍ୟା ଥିଲେ। ପୁଣି ଅବୀୟ ଓ ଯାରବୀୟାମ୍ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଚାଲିଲା।
