12 കെനസിന്റെ മകനായ ഒത്നീയേൽ മരിച്ചശേഷം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ വീണ്ടും യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമല്ലാത്തത് ചെയ്തു; അവർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്കകൊണ്ട് യഹോവ മോവാബ്രാജാവായ എഗ്ലോനെ യിസ്രായേലിന് വിരോധമായി ബലപ്പെടുത്തി.
