20 ഹായിപട്ടണക്കാർ പുറകോട്ട് നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ പട്ടണത്തിലെ പുക ആകാശത്തേക്ക് പൊങ്ങുന്നത് കണ്ടു; അവർക്ക് ഇങ്ങോട്ടോ അങ്ങോട്ടോ ഓടുവാൻ കഴിവില്ലാതെയായി; മരുഭൂമിവഴിയായി ഓടിയ യിസ്രായേൽ സൈന്യം തങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരുടെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു.
