Why did God give covenant?

Genesis 17:7
I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

Why covenant? To show the relationship, to show that he loves us.
Relationship shows love.

We are sons and not servants

Hebrews 3:2-6
2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.
3 Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.
4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
5 “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,”[a] bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.
6 But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

John 8:35
And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

Example: Father and Son.

Why law was give?

Romans 5:20 – The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase.

“More we swim inside sea, more we go down, more we know how weak we are, more we focus on the law, more curse”
“More we believe our own strenght we sink, more we believe His strenght we live.
“Focus on Christ and be saved”

How is it through Jesus we can be part of the New Covenant?
