Jacob’s blessing to Joseph
Genesis 49:22

22 “Joseph is a fruitful bough,
A fruitful bough by a well;
His branches run over the wall.
Prophesy in Genesis
- Jesus is the fruitful bough
- A fruitful bough by a well = John 4:6 ( below )
- His branches run over the wall = Samaria is a gentile ( Non Jews ). Initially salvation was only for the Jews. Jesus brought Salvation to the world.
John 4:5-6

5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
