அதற்குக் கீலேயாத்தின் மூப்பர் யெப்தாவை நோக்கி: நீ எங்களுடனேகூட வந்து, அம்மோன் புத்திரரோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணி, கீலேயாத்தின் குடிகளாகிய எங்கள் அனைவர்மேலும் தலைவனாயிருக்க வேண்டும்; இதற்காக இப்பொழுது உன்னிடத்தில் வந்தோம் என்றார்கள்.
