யோசேப்பு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து, தன் சகோதரர் என்று அறிந்துகொண்டான்; அறிந்தும் அறியாதவன்போலக் கடினமாய் அவர்களோடே பேசி: நீங்கள் எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தீர்கள் என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: கானான் தேசத்திலிருந்து தானியம் கொள்ள வந்தோம் என்றார்கள்.
