ஆகையால், சபையானது கிறிஸ்துவுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதுபோல மனைவிகளும் தங்கள் சொந்தப் புருஷர்களுக்கு எந்தக் காரியத்திலேயும் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

But as the church is subject to Christ, so `let’ the wives also `be’ to their husbands in everything.

And as the church is under Christ’s authority, so let wives be under the rule of their husbands in all things.

But even as the assembly is subjected to the Christ, so also wives to their own husbands in everything.
