அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்ட யூதேயாதேசத்தின் புத்திரரில் தானியேல் என்பவன் உம்மையும் நீர் கையெழுத்து வைத்துக்கொடுத்த கட்டளையையும் மதியாமல், தினம் மூன்று வேளையும் தான் பண்ணும் விண்ணப்பத்தைப் பண்ணுகிறான் என்றார்கள்.
