அப்பொழுது சவுல் தன் வேலைக்காரனைப் பார்த்து: நாம் போனாலும் அந்த மனுஷனுக்கு என்னத்தைக் கொண்டுபோவோம்; நம்முடைய பைகளில் இருந்த தின்பண்டங்கள் செலவழிந்துபோயிற்று; தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய அவருக்குக் கொண்டு போகத்தக்க காணிக்கை நம்மிடத்தில் ஒன்றும் இல்லையே என்றான்.
