அத்திப்பழ அடையின் ஒரு துண்டையும், வற்றலான இரண்டு திராட்சப்பழக் குலைகளையும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; அதை அவன் சாப்பிட்ட பின்பு, அவனுடைய உயிர் திரும்ப அவனுக்குள் வந்தது. அவன் இராப்பகல் மூன்றுநாளாய் அப்பம் சாப்பிடாமலும் தண்ணீர் குடியாமலும் இருந்தான்.
