4 ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਗਿਦਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸੋਤੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲੈ ਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ ।”
