42 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਵਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੀ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਗਏ ।
