5 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଉପବାସ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣକୁ କ୍ଲେଶ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଦିନ, ଆମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛୁ ? ନଳବୃକ୍ଷ ପରି ମସ୍ତକ ନୁଆଁଇବାର, ପୁଣି ଚଟବସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ଭସ୍ମ ଆପଣା ତଳେ ବିଛାଇବାର, ଏହାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉପବାସ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ କି ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ ଦିନ ବୋଲି କହିବ ?
