16 ശിംശോന്റെ ഭാര്യ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട്: “നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നില്ല, എന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ സ്വജനത്തിലെ യൗവനക്കാരോട് ഒരു കടം പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് എനിക്ക് അത് പറഞ്ഞുതന്നില്ലല്ലോ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളോട്: “എന്റെ അപ്പനോടും അമ്മയോടും ഞാൻ അത് പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല; പിന്നെ നിനക്ക് പറഞ്ഞുതരുമോ?” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
