1 摩西为他的岳父、米甸的祭司叶忒罗放羊。有一天，他赶着羊群到旷野的西面去，登上上帝的山－何烈山。

18 摩西回到岳父叶忒罗那里，对他说∶“请准我回埃及探望我的亲戚们，不知他们是不是还活着。” 叶忒罗说∶“好吧，愿你一路平安。”

1 摩西的岳父米甸祭司叶忒罗听说了上帝为摩西和他的百姓所做的一切，知道主已经把以色列人领出埃及。

29 以色列人启程后，摩西对他的岳父、米甸人流珥的儿子何巴说∶“我们现在要到主应许给我们的地方去。跟我们一起去吧，我们一定会好好待你，因为主已经应许要赐福给以色列人。”

20 “如果不洁净的人不洁净自己，没有洁净水洒在他的身上，他就是不洁净的，必须从会众中除名，因为他玷污了主的圣处。
