11 以色列人犯了大罪，他们违背了我的意志，拿了我命令他们必须毁灭的东西。他们私拿这些东西，行为诡诈，又把那些东西据为己有。

25 约书亚说∶“你为什么要给我们带来灾难？现在，主要降灾给你了！”接着，人们用石头打死了亚干和他的家人，烧毁了他所有的东西，又向这些东西掷石头。

20 谢拉的后代亚干违背了主的命令，没有毁掉应当毁灭的东西，结果主的惩罚降于全体以色列会众，许多人因亚干的罪而跟他一起丧了命。’”
