12 তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰ-পিতৃসকলৰ যিহোৱা ঈশ্বৰ, যিজনাই মিচৰ দেশৰ পৰা তেওঁলোকক উলিয়াই আনিছিল, তেওঁক তেওঁলোকে ত্যাগ কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকৰ চাৰিওফালে বসবাস কৰা লোকসমূহৰ বিভিন্ন দেৱ-দেৱীক প্রণিপাত কৰি সেইবোৰৰ পাছত চলিবলৈ ধৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ ক্রোধ প্রজ্বলিত কৰি তুলিলে।
