💚 God Is Good ALL the Time
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.” — Psalm 136:1 (NIV)
🎨 Highlight key: 🟩 = grace / apart-from-works truth · 🟨 = the precious gift · bold = key terms
🙌 He Meets ALL Your Needs
Whatever need you have right now — when you believe — He will meet it. Jehovah Jireh meets every need: health, peace, provision, companionship. A headache is a need. Any small lack, loneliness, or pain is a need. When you confess that He is all your need, He becomes all your need. 🌿
“…goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” — Psalm 23:6 (NKJV)
All the days means every single day — not “some good days, some bad days.” That is worldly talk. When you wake tomorrow, expect goodness. The more you speak it, the more it happens. 🗣️✨
📜 Jeremiah 29:11 — God’s Plan Is Prosperity, Not Harm
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
- 🤒 Sickness in your body is not from God
- 😢 Pain and sadness are harm — from the enemy
- 🌊 Jesus came to give life — life more abundantly, life in full
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10 (KJV)
Jesus knew no sin yet died for you. If sickness was already borne at the cross, do not carry it. Speak to that sickness: get away — it does not belong to me. The more you speak, the mountain moves. ⛰️
⚔️ Jehoshaphat: Three Enemies, One Strategy
King Jehoshaphat faced three armies at once — impossible in the natural. Sometimes you face three needs crushing you from every direction. The Bible story is not filler; it shows how enemies were tackled so we can apply the same today. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
“As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.” — 2 Chronicles 20:22 (NIV)
| World’s way | God’s way |
|---|---|
| Send warriors to the front | Send worship singers to the front 🎵 |
| Focus on how big the enemy is | Focus on how big your God is |
| Sing whatever feels right | Sing only the lyrics Jehoshaphat wrote |
Jehoshaphat wrote the lyrics — the whole of Psalm 136. One line repeated every verse: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. He told the singers: do not sing anything else. No songs about God being angry or allowing sickness. Focus on the thousand good things, not the one dot on the white screen. 🎯
🏰 Like Jericho — they walked, shouted, and the walls fell. Start thanking Him — the devil is defeated. Start praising Him — enemies fall.
😇 When Is God Angry? (And When Is He Not?)
Weakness, pain, and problems are not from God. Yet Scripture sometimes shows God angry — so when, and why?
📖 Old Testament Pattern: Goodness, Not Punishment
| Person | What they did | What God did |
|---|---|---|
| Cain | Killed Abel | Protected Cain |
| Abraham | Lied — “she is my sister” (twice) | Warned the king, not Abraham; sent wealth away |
| Sarah | Lied to the angel about laughing | No punishment recorded |
| Isaac | Same lie repeated | Not angry with Isaac |
| Jacob | Deceived his brother | Blessed Jacob |
“…the goodness of God leads you to repentance.” — Romans 2:4 (NKJV)
“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)
God is good. God is love (1 John 4:8). He draws with unfailing kindness — not punishment. Anger in Isaiah 28–29 is directed at enemies, not His own children.
📅 The 50th Day — When Everything Changed
Israel cried out of slavery; God opened the sea, sweetened bitter water, sent manna. For the first 50 days in the wilderness: zero deaths. God showed goodness to lead them to repentance. Then came the turning point.
On the 50th day (Pentecost), Israel said: “Whatever you say, we will do.” They asked God to bless them based on their obedience — not His goodness. God gave the law. That day, 3,000 died.
| Before the law | After the law |
|---|---|
| People lived 120+ years | Psalm 90: 70–80 years |
| Less sickness | Sickness increased to match shortened lifespan |
| Blessing by God’s goodness | Blessing tied to 100% obedience |
“For there is no one righteous, no, not one.” — Romans 3:10 (NKJV)
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” — James 2:10 (KJV)
School pass marks may be 35–45. God’s law: score 99 and you still get zero. Humanity was stuck — until Jesus.
✝️ Christ Is the End of the Law
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” — Romans 10:4 (NKJV)
| First Pentecost | New Pentecost |
|---|---|
| Law given | Spirit given |
| 3,000 died | 3,000 saved |
“…having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” — Colossians 2:14 (NIV)
What stood between you and God was the handwriting of requirements — not the devil. The devil has zero power; he roars like a lion but cannot swallow — only a snake swallows. The real Lion of Judah is Jesus Christ. Remove the law root → sin loses strength → death loses sting → fruit appears.
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” — Romans 5:19 (NKJV)
🌍 Stop Comparing With a Fallen World
We still think like the law era: “Others get sick, so I should too.” Compare with Eden — no sickness, sorrow, crying, or death. Jesus redeemed you back to that trajectory. You will be blessed, healed, and anointed not because of how good you are, but because of how good He is. People repent when they taste His love — not when punished by fear.
