Worlds Are Framed by the Word

Insight: Anything can be created using words.
Rema vs Logos
Jesus Won the Devil by Speaking (Rema)
Luke 4:1-13
“It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
“It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”
“It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
“He left him until an opportune time.”
Key Insight: Jesus used the Rhema (spoken Word of God) to counter every temptation from the devil. By declaring what is written in Scripture, Jesus demonstrated the power of speaking God’s Word aloud in faith.
Rhema: The Spoken Word of God
- Luke 5:4-6
“When he had finished speaking, He said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.’ Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.’ When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.”
Rhema Creates, Logos Informs

“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” - Proverbs 18:21
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Key Insight
- Logos: Written Word of God (e.g., the Bible).
- Rhema: Spoken Word of God (applied or declared in faith).
Both are essential, but Rhema activates and brings the written Word into reality.

Chains Broken Through Praise
