God’s ways

Hebrews 3:7-13

⁷ Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says,

¹² Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; ¹³ but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

“My Rest” is the Land

• It doesn’t say “My Land” because people were walking towards Canaan
• But for us the land is “My Rest”

• Land flowing with milk and honey
• Land with provisions already ready
• From vineyards you didn’t plan
• From wells you didn’t dig

It’s the land of Rest

• Place where you come to rest
• Even though you didn’t see physically.
• We thank God because he is fighting our battle.
• Rest is how you please God

Opposite of God’s wrath

• My wrath –> My Rest

This is not God’ ways

• Ways People went through in the wilderness are not God’s ways

What is an evil heart?

• The heart of unbelief.
• sin is singular refering to unbelief

Exalt one another daily

Fear to rest

Hebrews 3:17-4:1

¹⁷ With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? ¹⁸ To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? ¹⁹ We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

4 Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

• As per this verse, the world is going to hell because of the unbelief in Christ.
  • Not because doing this, doing that. ..etc.
• This rest is not about heavenly rest
  • Because heaven doesn’t have this giants
  • and heaven doesn’t have this battle.
  • It’s a land of promise

How to enter rest?

• Believe

Hebrews 4:1-5

4 Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest. ² For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard. ³ For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest”;although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. ⁴ For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works”; ⁵ and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”

Mix with faith

• God says, “You are healed” because of Jesus
  • Believe
• God says, “You will have more than enough”
  • Believe
• God says, “You will be prosperous”
  • Believe
• God says, “Everything will prosper”
  • Believe
• God says, “Success”
  • Believe
• Works were finished from the foundation of the world

Temporary Vs Eternal 

• What we see is temporary
• What we can’t see is eternal

¹² Fight the good(Beautiful, Handsome) fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

When you are in difficulty

• Only fight is to stay in faith
• Fight to remain in faith
• Say “Thank you Father, the battle is yours and my eyes is on you, thank you father you have overcome this problem for me”
• if the devil says “you can still see it”, say “Lord my eyes is on your Lord”
• That is your fight and it is a beautiful fight
• God says beautiful because you win.

Possess the Good looking blessing

• God’s people are good looking in the Bible always
  • David, Joseph, Rebecca, Rachel
• Possess this blessing
• Even if you are not good looking, you eventually become good looking.

Don’t touch the battle

1 Samuel 17:42-47

⁴² When the Philistine looked around, and saw David, he disdained him; for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and had a good looking face. ⁴³ The Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” The Philistine cursed David by his gods. ⁴⁴ The Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky, and to the animals of the field.”

⁴⁵ Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword(visible), with a spear(visible), and with a javelin(visible); but I come to you in the name of Yahweh (God) ( invisible ) of Armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. ⁴⁶ Today, Yahweh will deliver you into my hand. I will strike you, and take your head from off you. I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines today to the birds of the sky, and to the wild animals of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,⁴⁷ and that all this assembly may know that Yahweh doesn’t save with sword and spear; for the battle is (God’s)Yahweh’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

Devil’s Plan

• God says you are healed
  • Healing is not visible now, it is being invisible.
• Devil says “Do your best to go there( see healing)”
• Truth is “You are already there”
  • You are the healed
  • Devil is trying to take your healing
• You say “The battle belongs to the Lord”
  • “No. It’s a lying sysmptom”
  • “I am already healed”
• It is so much more easier if you know that you are in a house, if you are already in the house
• You are already healed, not trying to be healed.
  • You are not trying to take your healing
  • The devil is trying to take your healing.
• Its a fight of faith
  • Might take some time
  • Not saying its going to be easy
    • My Yolk is light
  • Bible is the faith food to all of us
• Who do you think that made the stone hit the mark ( Philistine )?
  • The Lord.

How you go to war?

• With shepherd boy Dress
• With a sleeve
  • Because “The battle belongs to the Lord”

Jehoshaphat’s prayer in the midst of the battle

¹⁵ and he said, “Listen, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat. Yahweh says to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Greatest thing to do

• Not to worry
  • Even though you don’t have enough resource
  • Even though you don’t know what to do
  • Even though you don’t do enough
  • Even though you don’t have enough knowledge to execute a task
• “Let not your heart be troubled”
• “Peace by unto you” – priority
• by not fighting is actually fighting

Praise

• Praise and be raised about the battle.
• In Jehoshaphat’s arms worshiper’s lead the army
  • End : Supernatural Victory in the Valley of Baraca ( Valley of Blessing )
  • Bigger the multitude, Bigger the Valley of Blessing
• Jericho was broken when the people worshiped
• Worshipers went front in the red sea. ( I believe )

Battle is Your’s

• “Lord it’s not mine, I cannot overcome this addiction”
• “Lord it’s not mine, I cannot overcome this situation”
• “Lord it’s not mine, I cannot overcome this problem”
• “Lord it’s not mine, I cannot overcome this disease”

• By trying you cannot

Final Victory

2 Chronicles 20:17

¹⁷ You will not need to fight this battle. 1. Set yourselves ( Take your positions ), 2. stand still, and 3. see the salvation of Yahweh (Aleph Taf : Signature of Jesus , appears here )with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Go out against them tomorrow, for Yahweh is with you.’”
